PUBLIC INTEREST PROJECT FOR DC LEGAL PROFESSIONALS
There are certain eligibility requirements applicants must meet in order to receive our services. Each non-profit organization applying for legal assistance must:
1) Either a) serve the poor and/or disadvantaged or b) improve a community through specific programs and initiatives including but not limited to education, health, the environment, and the arts; and
2) Be unable to pay for legal services without significant impairment of its program services.
If our selection committee is confident that your organization fits our criteria, we will initiate our services with a call to set up a consultation. Your case will also be assigned a PIPdc volunteer who will personally provide you with all the necessary services you need. Please note that while all our services are free of charge, our clients are responsible to cover all operational fees required of them independently. If this is not possible, a client may apply for a grant from PIPdc separately on a case-by-case basis.
